Climate controlled storage FAQs

What temperature is maintained in climate controlled units?
Most facilities maintain temperatures between 55-80°F year-round, protecting your items from extreme heat and cold.
Is climate controlled storage worth the extra cost?
For temperature-sensitive items like wood furniture, electronics, documents, photos, musical instruments, and antiques, climate control prevents damage that could cost far more than the storage fee.
What's the difference between climate controlled and regular storage?
Climate controlled units regulate both temperature and humidity levels, while standard units experience the same temperature fluctuations as the outdoors. Climate controlled units are also typically indoors, providing additional protection from dust, pests, and weather.
Do I really need climate controlled storage in Alabama?
Alabama's hot, humid summers and temperature swings make climate control valuable for sensitive items. High humidity can cause mold, mildew, and warping, while extreme heat can damage electronics, photos, and furniture finishes.
